Jim Crawford's first game as Ireland U21 boss set for September

Jim Crawford’s first game as Republic of Ireland U21 Manager will come in a friendly away to Slovenia in September.

Ireland, who are currently sitting atop of their qualification group, will travel to Slovenia for a game on September 7th. The new look Ireland management team will then taste their first competitive action the following a month when they travel away for a vital qualifier against Italy in October.

Rounding off their group games, the Boys in Green will play Iceland and Luxembourg on the 12th and 17th of November respectively. Home fans will be hoping that they may be able to attend games once again by the time Crawford’s men take on Iceland in their only home fixture slated for the remainder of this year.

Kick off times and exact details of venues will be announced in due course.
