Dundalk set to sign American winger Joshua Gatt on short-term deal
Dundalk have confirmed that they are set to sign USA international winger Joshua Gatt on a short-term deal, pending international clearance.
The 28-year-old put pen to paper on a deal with the Oriel Park outfit after featuring in a pre-season friendly for the Lilywhites against Longford Town in February.
The winger originally hails from Michigan, and he began his professional career with Austrian side SC Rheindorf Altach.
He soon joined Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s Molde in January 2011, where he won two Norwegian titles in both 2011 and 2012.
After leaving Molde, he enjoyed spells at Minnesota United, Colorado Rapids and Detroit City before returning to Austria.
The winger has two international appearances for the USA to his name, making his international debut against Russia in 2012. He was named in the 2013 Gold Cup squad, but he was forced to miss out through injury.
I’m extemely honored and exciting to begin this new chapter of my professional career with @DundalkFC! I can’t wait to get started with this fantastic club! I couldn’t have asked for a better situation to start back up and tackle the league and European football with a great team https://t.co/GDQvd7esoS
