Cliftonville make defender Joe Gorman available for free transfer

Irish League outfit Cliftonville have made defender Joe Gorman available for a free transfer away from Solitude.

Gorman, 25, joined the Reds in January 2019 from Clyde in the Scottish fourth tier – before making 27 appearances for the club over a one-year period.

Prior to his move to Solitude, Gorman played with Clyde in Scotland’s League Two, Gorman has enjoyed previous spells in Scotland with Inverness Caledonian Thistle and Airdrie before making the move to Solitude.

A statement from Cliftonville reads; “Cliftonville Football Club can confirm that, following discussions with Manager Paddy McLaughlin, it has been agreed that Joe Gorman is available for free transfer.

“The 25-year-old defender joined the Reds in December 2018 and has made 36 appearances since his debut in the Irish Cup Fifth Round tie with Dungannon Swifts on January 5.”

Gorman’s most recent appearance for Cliftonville came in the December 26th win away to Belfast rivals Crusaders at Seaview.
