Watch: Ireland winger Callum O'Dowda on target as Bristol City book FA Cup fifth round spot for first time in 18 years
Republic of Ireland international Callum O’Dowda was on target as Bristol City advanced to the fifth round of the FA Cup with a 2-1 comeback victory over Bolton Wanderers at Ashton Gate.
The winger justified the club’s decision to trigger a year’s extension in his contract, amid interest from table-toppers Leeds United, with a well-taken finish to draw his side level after eight minutes.
The 23-year-old controlled Niclas Eliasson’s cross-field pass expertly on his chest before setting himself up and arrowing a low shot into the corner from the edge of the box.

Bolton had taken the lead just three minutes earlier through Mark Beevers, who took a cross from Ireland under-17 international Luca Connell, making his first start, first-time into the net.
O'Dowda's Ireland teammate Marc Wilson had started in defence for the Trotters while 17-year-old Connell, who plays left-back at international level, played in midfield.

And it was Eliasson who settled the tie shortly afterwards with an individual goal of his own to put the Robins into the fifth round for the first time in 18 years.
