Watch: Relive Wes Hoolahan sending Paris into raptures one year on

It's one year to the day since Wes Hoolahan sent Irish fans wild with a sumptuous volley that looked like it had got Ireland's Euro 2016 campaign off to a dream start.

The Norwich City man opened the scoringtwo minutes into the second half as he stepped into a pocket of space inside the box and brilliantly turned home Seamus Coleman's cross.

An own goal from Ciaran Clark later in the half ensured both teams took a point from their opening encounter, although Ireland were understandably the more disappointed given they'd taken the lead.

Extratime.ie were in Paris that day covering the game live, as we were for all of Ireland's games in France – read back on our match report here.
