Shelbourne -v- Longford Town

Shelbourne will be looking to get over last weekend's frustration with a victory over Longford Town at Tolka Park tomorrow night. Dermot Keely’s men are massive favourites going into this tie, with Kildare County’s existence the only thing keeping Longford off the bottom spot in the League of Ireland First Division.

Player News
David Crawley (two yellow cards against Athlone Town) and David McGill (first of two additional weeks suspension after a straight red against UCD) are suspended for Shels, while Anto Flood (knee) and Kevin Doherty (hamstring) miss out.

Alan Keely and Damien Brennan trained on Wednesday night and should play.

Form
Shelbourne had recovered from their recent losses to UCD and Sporting Fingal by turning over Athlone Town two weeks back. On Friday they travelled to Ballybofey only for the game to be postponed in controversial circumstances; however a very impressive showing in their 4-3 loss to Premier Division leaders Bohemians on Monday night in the EA Sports League Cup shows their class.

Longford are on a shocking run. Seven losses in a row since their last win – which was against Kildare. They have been finding the net though, scoring four times in their last three losses.
