Manchester United confirmed for RSC friendly

Manchester United have been confirmed for a friendly against Waterford United during the summer.

The Blues confirmed the friendly this evening that will take place in mid-July. This will be the Reds' first visit to Suirside since 1990, when Alex Ferguson brought his side to Kilcohan Park for what was a pre-season meeting for both sides. The visitors triumphed 4-0 that day, with goals by Mark Hughes, Viv Anderson, Mark Robins and Lee Sharpe.

The Blues entertained Liverpool in the RSC in a friendly in July 2011; coming out on top with a 1-0 win thanks to Seamus Long’s header. The date is to be confirmed with ticket details to follow.
