Burton Albion secure three signings as Walker goes on loan to Gillingham

Burton Albion has made a number of moves in the transfer market, extending contracts and adding new talent to their squad.

Mustapha Carayo has extended his contract with the club until the end of the season.

Initially signing a six-month deal last summer, the 35-year-old winger has impressed, featuring 25 times this season for the Brewers.

Manager Martin Paterson expressed his satisfaction, stating, “Muzzy is a really important member of the group... We love the energy and experience that he has, as well as the leadership qualities that he brings.”

In another move, Burton Albion has secured the services of Jonathan Leko on loan from MK Dons until the end of the season.

The 24-year-old forward, who has previously played for clubs like West Bromwich Albion and Birmingham, brings over 150 senior appearances to the Brewers.

Leko shared his excitement, saying, “I’m really happy to be joining on loan... I’m looking forward to playing back in League One and my main aim is to play regular games, get goals and get assists for this club.”

Additionally, the club has completed the loan signing of striker Ademola Ola-Adebomi from Crystal Palace until the season's end.

The 20-year-old has an impressive record of 12 goals in twenty-one appearances for Palace’s Under 21’s this season.

Ola-Adebomi remarked, “There’s been a lot of interest from clubs... but coming to Burton just felt right.” 



Finally, Burton Albion’s striker Josh Walker has moved to Gillingham on loan for the rest of the season.
