Wexford have pounced to land the services of Shamrock Rovers under-19 talent Cian Curtis ahead of the 2024 First Division season.

And James Keddy’s side have also signalled their intent with the re-signings of trio Luka Lovic, Mark Hanratty and Cian O’Malley.

Curtis was named the EA Sports League of Ireland under-19 player of the year in 2023 with 18 goals and a League and Cup double to his name.

And the 19-year-old Kilnamanagh played in the midfield through most of his academy years before moving to the striker role in 2023.

The Slaneysiders will, as a result, be hopeful that the Dubliner can make a big impact at Ferrycarrig Park.

And the return of Lovic, Hanratty and O’Malley will further boost their chances of success.

With 23 appearances and four goals to his name across two spells at Wexford, Lovic’s midfield presence will be key.

Plus, the emergence of O’Malley and Hanratty will give boss Keddy further hope of success again.

O’Malley impressed with Wexford after joining from St Patrick’s Athletic midway through the season while Hanratty did similar after following Keddy from Longford to Ferrycarrig Park.
