Finn Harps 0 - 2 Wexford Youths

Wexford Youths put an end to Finn Harps impressive seven match unbeaten league run on Saturday night thanks to goals either side of half time from David Breen and Jimmy Keohane.
James Gallagher can have no complaints as Youths frustrated Harps with a hard-working and fully committed display. The home side never really got going and were beaten by a much better team on the night.
Finn Harps went into this game with a number of absentees which certainly didn’t help their cause but credit to this young Wexford side, they took the game to their opponents from first whistle and created the better of the chances from early on.
After Jimmy Keohane and Patsy Malone had both gone close to breaking the deadlock, they eventually made the breakthrough on 37 minutes when David Breen powered in a header from a corner.
Keohane, who was superb on the left for Wexford, doubled their advantage seven minutes after the restart when he finished off a flowing move down the right by volleying in past Gallagher from close range.
It was a wonderful goal and capped a hugely impressive display from Wexford. For Harps, this was a night to forget. Unfortunately they now face two away games on the bounce, against Shels on Friday night and before that at Waterford on Tuesday.
