Craig joined Kildare County from Cherry Orchard at the start of 2008. He spent two seasons at Station Road but when the club went to the wall at the end of 2009 he moved on to Longford Town, signing for manager Tony Cousins and making 12 league appearances through 2010, scoring once in a 1-0 home win over Limerick FC.

In January of 2011 Craig took time out from football to travel, returning in September of that year to join up with Martin Russell at UCD. Craig first appeared as an unused sub away to Bray Wanderers on 21 September, and made his only league appearance of the year as a late substitute in the 2-0 defeat away to Bohemians on 8 October.

In February 2013 Craig played joined Shelbourne but he left the club in July of that year, shortly after the appointment of new manager Johnny McDonnell, having made 11 league appearances.
