Alex’s Biography

Alex is a goalkeeper who began his career at West Ham in 1997. He spent four years at Upton Park but the only league appearances he made were while on loan at Northampton Town and Wigan Athletic.

The highlight of Alex's career was probably his part in Ireland's U18 European Championships win in 1998 under Brian Kerr.

He joined Bristol Rovers in 2001 and spent two years with the 'Gas'. In 2003 Alex dropped out of the league to play with Gravesend & Northfleet, Stevenage Borough, Dagenham & Redbridge, and Harlow Town.

He went on to become part of Sky One's football series The Dream Team before signing for Brendan Place at Athlone Town in March 2009. He made his league debut for Athlone in a 1-0 away defeat to Wexford Youths on 3 July and made 8 league appearances that season.

In 2010 Alex was back in England playing with Thurrock FC.
