Niall played for Sligo Rovers' U17 squad for the short 2015, 2016 and 2017 seasons. In 2018 he stepped up to the club's U19 side and also made his first appearance in Sligo's senior squad. In August 2019, it was announced that Niall had accepted a place in Sligo IT and had signed a new long term deal with Sligo until the end of the 2021 season via their scholarship programme.
