CORK CITY
Runaway First Division leaders, Cork City, will be hoping to maintain their advantage when they host Treaty at Turners Cross this evening (kick-off at 7.45pm).
The Rebel Army currently lie 10 points of second placed UCD after another win on the road at Bray last weekend.
Cian Bargary netted a double at the Carlisle Grounds along with a strike from Cathal O’ Sullivan to keep up their unbeaten start to the season.
Tim Clancy can see the improvement from earlier in the season: “I think we are in a different place now at the moment and full of confidence. There is plenty of goals in the side, so we want to add to that on Friday”.
There is no new injuries to the squad at the moment.
TREATY UNITED
Treaty will be hoping for better luck as they make their second trip in a week to Cork.
It was further dropped points in Cobh for the injury hit side as they seek to end a run of 12 games without a win.
Lee Devitt ensured the points were shared with a second half goal after going behind after 19 seconds. They were not able to find the winner and saw Oisin O’Reilly red carded late on.
Tommy Barrett still believes in the spirit of the squad: “I could never question their attitude. They have always been good and worked really hard since I have been here. Maybe the decision making has let us down but I have no problems with the performances”.
Referee: Oliver Moran.

It was a different situation earlier in the season at Markets Field when the home team were looking to close the gap on an injury hit city.
