Peter’s Biography

Peter played for Limerick United reserves in 1982/83 and was called into Eoin Hand's senior squad in January of '83. He made his debut in a 2-1 defeat to Home Farm at Tolka Park on 2 January and stayed in the team over the latter half of that season.

He did not initially sign for the newly formed Limerick City when they entered the League in 'United's' place in the Summer of 1983. Preferring to play rugby, but was eventually persuaded back into the fold in December of '83 and went on to win the PFA Young Player of the Year award in 1984/85.

He played with Limerick City for seven and a half seasons before leaving the club to sign for Pat Byrne at Shelbourne in January 1991. He was with Shels for two seasons but left at the end of 1992/93 to take up work opportunities.

Peter rejoined Shelbourne in January 1994 and played with them until the end of the 93/94 season.
