Shane was a part of Ipswich Town's acadmey before breaking into the first team after making his debut in August 2005. He went on to make over thirty appearances over the course of the next four years, taking in loan spells at Falkirk and Oldham Athletic before retiring from professional football and focusing on Gaelic football in August 2009.

Shane returned to playing soccer in Ireland when he joined Crumlin United in the Leinster Senior League in October 2015. He went on to win the Major Saturday title and the FAI Intermediate title with the club in his season there and his performances were noticed enough for Bohemians to sign him in June 2016.

Bohs then announced that Supple had re-signed with the club for the 2017 season. In October 2017 he then re-signed with the club on a two year deal until the end of the 2019 campaign.
