MATCH INFO
Competition: 2022 League of Ireland Premier Division
Date: 7:45 p.m. March 18, 2022
Venue: Tolka Park
Referee: John McLoughlin
Attendance: 2216
A thoroughly deserved first win of the season for Ollie Horgan's side, they were the dominant team from start to finish and ran out 3-0 winners at the end.
Thry were much more fired up for the battle than the home side and make Damian Duff's side look very ordinary indeed.
Shelbourne will have a lot of soul searching after their poorest performance of the season and it looks like they will also be without JR Wilson for a period of time after he was stretchered off in the second half

Harps starting to run down the clock , that first win is tantalisingly close now
Substitution
Corner for Shels after good work by Hawkins, McGinley cathes the cross very cleanly aznd the danger is averted.
The game has become scrappy again, this suits Ollie Horgan as they inch closer to their first win of the season

Substitution
Corner to Shels after Boyle tried to shepard it wide, the kick is por howver and Harps clear it.
Byrne fouls Mc Namee and earns a card, its also a very good position for a Harps free kick. Connolly takes it and it goes out for another Harps corner which is then cleared.
Yellow Card
Corner straight away for Harps, more danger for Shels but this time they clear their lines
SECOND HALF
One nil to Harps at the break, they are full value for thier lead and in truth Shelbourne have put in their worst 45 minutes of the season so far.
Damian Duff and Joey O' Brien look very unhappy as they head for the dressing rooms, expect some choice words to be exchanged in the confines of the home dressing room.
HALF TIME
Substitution
Things go from bad to worse for Shels, Wilson is down with what looks like a bad injury and is being stretchered off by First Aid personnel.
Great work down the left wing by Mihaljevic , he skips past Wilson and squares the ball to Boyle who blasts to the net, no more than Harps deserve after their first half dominance
ASSIST!
GOAL!
Good run down the left wing by Kane but McEneff's header has no power and trickles wide of the post
Very scrappy game here at Tolka Park and the home support in particular are starting to get agitated
McGinley is down injured but after treatment is ok to continue.
Shels beginning to mount a few attacks, Carr does well to pull it back for McManus but he blazes over the bar with the goals at his mercy
Yellow Card
Very industrious start by Harps whikle Shels look strangely lethargic, Duff is far from happy on the touchline
Another corner for Harps, this time its overhit and cleared by Shels
Plenty pressure being applied by Harps and Shels have not got going at all .
Free kick at the edge of the box for Harps after Coyle fouled Mihaljevic, good opportunity for Mahdy, his well struck shot is pushed out for a corner by Webb.
Slow start by Shels , they are not getting time to settle on the ball as Harps are biting into their challenges at every oportunity.
Another close call for Shels at the back, Boyle's header is of the bar again and goes wide, a nervy start by the hosts.
Harps force a corner on their first attack, its cleared at the expense of a corner , the ball finds it way to Mihaljevic who hits the cross bar with an overhead kick. Lively start by Harps
GAME ON!
Five minutes to kick off here, a sizeable crowd in place all looking forward to a good night's football.
Ollie Horgan makes one change to the Finn Harps starting eleven from Monday night's 3-1 loss to Sligo Rovers- ex- Shelbourne striker Yoyo Mahdy starts up front instead of Eric McWoods
Three changes in the Shels line up tonight from the starting eleven in Monday night's 1-1 draw with Bohemians- Mark Coyle, Jordan McEneff and Sean Boyd come in and Adam Thomas, Shane Farrell and Aodh Dervin drop to the bench.
Its another beautiful evening in North Dublin, no wind or rain so a perfect evening for football.
Good evening and welcome to Tolka Park for this evening's Premier Division match between Shelbourne and Finn Harps.
