Cracking game here at Belfield , it was very even in the first half but UCD took over and dominated the second half, they played some scintillating football and fully deserved their three points.
Treaty made a valiant effort in the last 10 mins to draw level but while there was no lack of effort on their part they lacked guile in around the box .
The result means that UCD now sit on top of the table on 15 points, the same points total as Shelbourne but with a superior goal difference

Treaty now pressing hard for an equaliser but the UCD defence is rock solid
Treaty seemed to be running out of ideas to break down the UCD defence
Ryan upends Whelan outside the box, lucky to only see a yellow card not a red one as he was the last man in defence

Big turnaround since half time, UCD now very much in the ascendancy
Great game here at the Bowl, as had been anticipated, Treaty were quickest out of the blocks and took a deserved lead after 11 minutes with a penalty.
UCD then dominated most of the possesion, Sean Brennan and Paul Doyle were the key figures in midfield for them, and they got the goal they deserved just before the break courtesy of Dara Keane.
It should be a very intersting second half.

First shot on target for UCD from Liam Kerrigan but its well saved by Ryan
UCD keeper needlessly comes off his line and Kieran Hanlon spots the opportunity to lob the ball over him and into an empty net, brilliantly executed from well outside the box
Another free kick to UCD, ball hoisted into the box but Tadgh Ryan is very reliable and gathers comfortably
Liam Kerrigan is fouled by Jack Lynch outside the box but the free kick is wasted, still no shot on target for UCD.
UCD trying to get sharpshooter Colm Whelan free but every time he gets on the ball he is surrounded by at least two Treaty defenders
After 20 mins, UCD have settled down after the early concession of a goal and are spraying the ball around the middle third without really threatening the Treaty defence

Its a pleasant evening in South Dublin, the conditions are ideal and this should be a cracking game bewteen two sides who both have had great starts to the 2021 season.
UCD are curently in second place on twelve points while Treaty Utd are in fourth place only two points behind on ten points.
