League Preview: Waterford -v- Bohemians
WATERFORD
The Blues will be hoping to reverse their recent form when they take on second placed Bohemians at RSC on Friday (kick off at 19:45).
It is just one win from five games to leave them looking over their shoulder at the wrong end of the table. Defeat at the Showgrounds last weekend was the latest time in which they have dropped points.
Wilson Waweru proved to be the difference between the sides in a game which the visitors were unable to land the few opportunities that came their way.
John Coleman spoke ahead of the game: “I’ve been pleased in the main of how we’ve played, but I’ve been bitterly disappointed with the results – and that can’t continue.
We’ve got to keep going, get through this patch and don’t dwell on it. We’re performing well in all the games Danny & myself have been here for, dominating the ball & possession, and the players need to realise and how important every single point is that you’re playing for.”
Rowan McDonald is available after being suspended against Sligo Rovers.
BOHEMIANS
Bohs will be hoping to extend their good recent form when they travel down to take on Waterford.
Eight wins in the last ten games has turned around their season and pushed them into second place. The most recent of these was at Turners Cross last weekend.
Goals from Archie Meekison and Dayle Rooney set them on their way to what was a fairly comfortable win.
Alan Reynolds urged a note of caution ahead of the encounter against his hometown club.
"Waterford are a good side. They had a great record against us last season and they've beaten us already in Dalymount this season, so it’s another game where I think we’re going into it with something to prove.
"That means we need everyone to be at their very best once more if we want to keep the run we’ve been on going.”
Reynolds should have a fully fit squad for the game.

It is a victory apiece between the sides so far this season. Both for the away sides though. A Colm Whelan hat-trick gave the Dublin side three points in the first encounter down in Waterford. Goals from James Olayinka and Tommy Lonergan stunned the home side last month in the return fixture.
