It’s top against bottom in the Airtricty First Division as Salthill Devon welcome league leaders Waterford United to Drum on Saturday evening (kick-off 7.00 PM).
The Blues have won the first three games of the new campaign in impressive fashion while Salthill have found life in the First Division difficult to cope with, losing all three of their games.
Stephen Henderson was delighted with his side’s 1-0 victory over Derry last week and will be hoping they can make it four wins from four when they take on Salthill on Saturday.
Speaking after last week’s game Henderson was full of praise for the The Blues who have yet to concede a goal this season.
“We played some wonderful attacking football in the first half, and scored our goal which we fully deserved because we created a couple of great chances.”
In the second half they pushed us back deep but we defended well and to be fair I can’t remember our keeper being overworked.”
Salthill desperately need to start picking up points or they will almost certainly face the drop. They are yet to score a goal thus far and unfortunately for the Galway side it doesn’t look like they will find their first goal against an in-form Waterford side.
