Cork

The Mardyke

Th Mardyke is a sports complex in Cork city, situated next to the River Lee along the Western Road. It is now part of UCC's sporting facilities but has been an important football ground in the city's sporting past. It was the home ground of Cork FC between 1930 and 1938 and subsequently became the home of Cork City (1938) and Cork United (1939 to 1948).

The Mardyke has also hosted the Irish national team and was the venue for a game against Hungary in 1939.
