Brian played with Home Farm and WFTA before joining Bray Wanderers in 2008. In 2009 Brian won the A Championship side's Player of the Year award and also made his league debut on the final night of the '09 season in a 1-1 home draw against League champions Bohemians.

Brian made 21 league appearances in 2010 but first team opportunities became harder to come by in 2011 with the arrival of Darren Quigley. Brian spent most of the season with the A Championship side, making 2 league appearances and 1 appearance in the EA Sports Cup. In 2012 Brian again provided goalkeeping cover making just 2 more league appearances before leaving the club ahead of the 2013 season.

Brian played for Malahide United before returning to Bray Wanderers in January 2015 ahead of the 2015 season. He made only one appearance for Bray during the 2015 season, coming off the bench at half time during Bray's 8-1 defeat to Dundalk, before he left the club in July 2015.
