Barry’s Biography
Barry is a centre half who played underage football for Home Farm before going to England for a spell with Coventry City. He came home and joined Longford Town in the summer of 2002. Barry captained Longford Town to FAI Cup glory in 2003. He also led the side to League Cup success in 2004, though he was suspended for the 2004 FAI Cup final win over Waterford United. Barry joined Bohemians from Longford Town in January 2006.
Barry was announced as a Shamrock Rovers player on January 27th 2007, having joined them from Bohemians. He remained a Hoop for eighteen months before signing for Liam Buckley at Sporting Fingal in July 2008. He made his debut for the Ravens in a 2-1 away defeat to Waterford United on 1st August '08.
Barry didn't make the start of the 2009 season, being forced to retire from football due to a persistent hip injury.
