Tony’s Biography
Tony is a central midfield player who played 126 games with Peterborough United between 1998 and 2003 under Barry Fry. After being released by Posh, he returned to Northern Ireland and had spells with Omagh Town and Limavady United.
Shields arrived at Finn Park from Limavady United in January 2007. He made his debut for Harps against Dundalk in a First Division match on March 8th 2007 and was made club captain by then manager Paul Hegarty. Tony left Harps in June 2008 and signed for Coleraine before returning in July 2010. He left the club at the end of the 2010 season.
