A great performance from the Bohemians defence won the game tonight. Ismahil Akinade finding just enough space in the Sligo defence to provide the winning goal after 31 minutes. It's hard to find a man of the match with great performances across the defence. I think Lopes just edges it for me.

Can the Bohs defense hold out the Sligo attack for three more minutes?

Morten Nielsen hit a free kick from the edge of the area straight into the wall. The free was as a result of the foul Kavanagh was booked for just outside the Gypsies area.

Prendergast headed the ball behing for a corner but Sligo fail to capitalise.

Constant Sligo pressure is being dealt with by a very disciplined Gypsies defence.

Morten Nielsen just missed a shot from directly infront of the Bohs net. A ball across the box from Corcoran on the right wing looked like an easy tap in but somehow he managed to hit it wide of the back post.

Dealany just saved a shot from close range, Corcoran's shot was tipped away but only as far as Puri. Puri's effort was saved on the line by the Bohs captain Lopes.

Paddy Kavanagh's free from the left wing was just too high for the three Bohs players who found themselves free in th emiddle of the Sligo box.

On trhe break Paddy Kavanagh lobbed the Sligo keeper but he had been flagged offside. The play has moved down to the other end with Corcoran forcing a save from Delany.

Sligo Rovers have dominated the last few minutes, but Bohemians have sat back and absorbed the pressure really well.

Akinade just hit the ball wide of the left post. Kavanagh had played the ball into him on the right hand side but he overhit his effort from inside the box.

Bohemians defended well throughout leaving Sligo to try their luck from distance. There were only two real chances in the first half. Bohs took theirs but Sligo were unable to hit Dean Delany's net. With Bohs down to ten players following Anto Murphy's dismissal it's all to play for here in the second half.

There will be two minutes of additional time at the end of the first half.

Sander Puri's shot from the right wing was tiped wide of the right post by Dean Delany.

Anto Muphy threw the ball in to Paddy Kavanagh. Kavanagh's cross was flicked on at the near post by Buckley. Akinade hit the back of the net with power from close range.

The first real chance of the match, Sander Puri was free on the right wing. His left footed shot was curling inside the near post but Delany got his fingertips to it. Sligo won three corners in quick succession afterward but  Bohs defended them well.

Evans played a ball through to Akinade who rounded his defender but his shot was wide of the right post.

Anto Murphy's long throw from the left wing went over all of the Sligo defenders. It was gathered easily enough by Richard Brush in the Sligo goal.

A Paddy Kavanagh free kick on the left wing. The free won by Lopez who was fouled by Alan Keane. Anto Murphy's header at the back post hit a defender and went out for a corner kick.

Ismahil was at the back post when a cross came in from the left wing but tried to reach the ball with his boot when I header might have been more appropriate.

Only five minutes left until kick-off. I'm personally disappointed that we will miss Lorcan Fitzgerald's dead balls tonight.
