It really has been a poor second half showing from the Bit O' Red. Barely threatened the Cork goal, and lacking the slick passing that we have been accustomed to seeing.

Cork Sub - Stephen Kenny is on for Daryl Horgan.

Sligo Sub - Liam Buchanan is on in place of Pascal Millien.

That really should have been a goal. Ian Turner whipped in a superb corner kick, that Kalen Spillane headed off the post, before it bounced back off the 'keeper and out for another corner.

The game has evened out slightly now, and Sligo no longer own the football. Cork are threatening the champions elect mainly through set-pieces - this game could have a very interesting conclusion.

Pascal Millien drifts in from the right side and manages to get a shot away, but it richochets through a maze of Cork bodies and goes out for a corner.

Best chance of the game so far, and it's to Cork City. Kalen Spillane rakes a long ball forward that finds Ian Turner, but his shot from an acute angle is parried to safety by Gary Rogers.

Finally, a chance! Joseph Ndo floats in a cross from the right side, but Mark Quigley can't steady himself and sends his overhead kick well wide.

It's been poor stuff so far in truth, and there's been virtually nothing to report 15 minutes into the second half.

It's been a fairly scrappy start to the second half, with neither team really grabbing the game by the scruff of it's neck.

Mark Quigley finds himself in a good position just outside the box, but can't keep his shot down as he sends it far over the crossbar.

Sligo have had the better of the overall play, but have only threatened the Cork goal from distance. The home side have defended resoloutely, while still looking dangerous on the counter attack.

Sligo Sub - David Cawley is on for Seamus Conneely. Danny Ventre will fill the right back void, whilst Cawley slots in at the central midfield spot.

Bad news for Sligo fans - Seamus Coneely has pulled up with a serious-enough looking injury.

The pattern of the game has not changed at all. Rovers dominating possession, but failing to make it pay in the final third. City look quite comfortable at the back, and very capable of dealing with anything that comes their way.

Daryl Horgan involved again, but this time at the wrong end. He gives the ball away just in front of his won goal, but Raffaele Cretaro's dipping shot fails to trouble the goalkeeper.

Sligo's approach play in the final third has been - for the most part - restricted, thanks to the two Cork full-backs as well as bustling midfielder Shane Duggan.

Danny Ventre smashes his shot inches wide of the post, after being laid off by Mark Quigley.

Sligo have so far had the lion's share of possession - largely down to Joseph N'Do, who is constantly dropping deep to receive the football from the two centre-backs.

Mark Quigley threads though a delicious pass to the feet of Raffaele Cretaro, whose shot is scrambled just wide of the post for a Sligo corner.

Sligo winger Pascal Millien comes close with a drive from long range, but his effort spins a whisker wide of the post.

Decent chance for Cork City. Daryl Horgan clipped in a good ball to Vinny Sullivan in the box, but the Cork striker failed to control it.

Cork are in their traditional green, while Sligo are donning their change strip of all white.

This is Cork City's penultimate home game of the 2012 season, while Sligo Rovers have just one away game after tonight.

This has the makings of a superb game. Sligo will be all out to grasp their first league title since 1977, while Cork are after a strong finish to hopefully claim a Setanta Cup spot.
