McClean again there, shoots close to goal but Mitchell somehow gets a foot to it and it's eventually cleared.

... McClean puts a brilliant corner in, Lafferty headed it down and struck the ball in superbly.

... Ruaidhri Higgins played a long ball for James McClean, McClean turned outside Rory Houston. He swung the ball in for Zayed to score with a diving header.

ALMOST AN OWN GOAL! Lafferty again, he put in a cross and it hit the leg of Derek Prendergast right in front of his own goal. It spun over the bar and out for Derry's seventh corner.

Nice ball in by Shane O'Connor. Gerard Doherty got to it before Jake Kelly could though.

Bray Sub - Jake Kelly comes in for Dane Massey. Presumably Pat Devlin wants more strength in attack here.

A nice Derry move on the counter-attack there. Lafferty crosses, but it falls to McClean out wide. McClean put a dangerous ball in low but Houston slid in to clear it away.

McClean swung a free in from out wide, it evaded everyone before Gregg gathered it. Lafferty just about missed getting a touch on it though.

Derry's Gareth McGlynn is booked for kicking the ball away in frustration.

John Mulroy appears to be playing in the Gary Dempsey role for Bray tonight. They don't go more than two or three passes without him getting a touch.

Derry playing a lot more low balls for Zayed and they're reasonably effective so far. He doesn't have much support though.

Bray play with the wind, and they seem to be controlling the early exchanges here. Derry's passing has been off.

The wind has picked up here, hopefully it doesn't affect what has so far been an entertaining match.

Bray get the second half underway.

Half time here, a relatively even match so far. Derry and Bray have both had good periods of dominance.

Derry again spurn a good chance. Doherty took a long goal kick, Zayed flicked on for McClean but he shot over. He was 20 yards out but unmarked.

A free is taken by Bray, Greacen gets a head to it but it falls for Mulroy inside the Derry box. Mulroy hits it first time but it's at least 5 yards over.

Bray's Shane O'Neill is booked.

Again and again Bray are getting the ball into good positions but just keep picking out the wrong pass. Shane O'Connor that time, tried to flick it to Mulroy but Lafferty intercepted.

Mulroy limping a bit after a McBride challenge, he's OK though. He's probably been Bray's best player so far.

Bray keep trying ball over the top of the Derry defence, and you get the feeling that one could work eventually. Mulroy and O'Neill are coming closer to beating the Derry defenders to the ball every time.

Gareth McGlynn misses a fantastic opportunity there. Higgins started a brilliant Derry move, spreading it from wing to wing. Lafferty charged up the left and gave it to McGlynn ten yards out in the centre of the box. He shot well over though.

After a bright start by Bray, Derry are pressuring the Seagulls into ceding possession here. The last ten minutes have seen not too many passages of good play by Bray.

The away side keeping the ball superbly here. McGlynn and Higgins are majestic, Bray can't get near them at times.

WHAT A CHANCE FOR DERRY! Gareth McGlynn put a free in low, Greacen got a slight flick on it and the ball ended up just marginally wide. Gregg looked beaten, too.

Derry look pretty vulnerable to the long ball here. For the third time they attacked and Bray countered with a long ball- leaving O'Neill on the last man. Bray won a corner but their low delivery was easily cleared.

A chance for Derry there. From a free about thirty yards out the head Daniel Lafferty connected well with the delivered ball. About two yards over though.

The Candystripes aren't holding back in the tackle here. Mulroy the victim of another biting Derry tackle there.

Derry haven't had the best of starts, that was their first really flowing move. Lafferty crossed deep after a nice six pass move but it was too deep for McClean at the far post.

Danny O'Connor had another good chance for the home side, deflected out. It's cleared but Massey breaks and it's another corner. Massey volleys just outside the box but Derry clear.

Chris Shields of Bray is booked for a ridiculous challenge on James McClean.

What a save from Ger Doherty in the Derry goal. A counter attack by Shane O'Neill after a Derry corner, and Doherty saves a Shields header at point-blank range.

We have just kicked off here at the Carlisle Grounds, Derry kick us off.

Derry play in their familar 4-5-1 formation, with Eamon Zayed on his own up front. Zayed returns to his hometown club tonight, where he started his career. You'd think that either Gareth McGlynn or James McClean will be supporting Zayed from midfield.

Both teams line out pretty much as expected. Dane Massey return at the back for Bray, as does Danny O'Connor in midfield- both missed last week's 2-1 defeat of UCD through suspension.
