Brian’s Biography

Brian was a UCD Sports Scholarship Recipient in 2005/2006. By 2009 he had carved out a place in the UCD side that lifted the First Division title and he played regularly throughout 2010, making 27 league appearances as the Students returned to Premier Division competition.

In January of 2011 he signed for his former UCD boss, Pete Mahon, at St Patrick's Athletic and made his debut for the club in a 3-0 away defeat to Cliftonville in the Setanta Cup on 21st February. He made 24 league appearances that year, scoring once, in a 3-0 win over Crumlin United in the third round of the FAI Cup.

In January 2012, Brian signed for newly promoted Shelbourne. He made his senior debut for the Reds in a Leinster Senior Cup win over Wexford Youths on 9 February 2012 and over the next two seasons Brian made 43 league appearances for the club, a stint which ended with relegation to the First Division at the end of 2013.

Brian left Shelbourne at the end of the 2013 season. Injury prevented him joining a club for the start of the 2014 season but he returned to football in August 2014, signing for Premier Division side Athlone Town. He made six appearances as they were relegated on the last day of the season. Brian stayed with Athlone for the 2015 season. More injury hampered Brian's 2015 campaign as the defender only managed to make it onto the field on 10 occasions.

In January 2016, Brian returned to UCD.
