Robbie’s Biography

Robbie is a left back who played under-age football at Cherry Orchard before beginning his League career at St Patrick's Athletic in 2002. In 2003 he went on loan to Dublin City where he helped the Vikings to the First Division title.

In 2004 Robbie signed for Dundalk, staying for just one season at Oriel Park before decamping to Kildare County in 2005. At the end of the '05 season he was part of a mini exodus with several players making their way from Kildare to Shamrock Rovers.

Robbie won his second First Division title with the Hoops in 2006, forming part of a back four that conceded just 13 league goals all season. In his two years at Rovers Robbie made 69 appearances, scoring once.

In 2008 Robbie joined Waterford United and made 35 league appearances for the Blues as they finished fourth in the First Division. 2009 saw Robbie return to Co Louth, this time signing for Drogheda United. It was a difficult season for Drogheda who finished second bottom of the Premier Division. Despite making 32 league appearances, he was released at the end of the season.

In 2010 Robbie signed for Dermot Keely at Shelbourne where he played with the club's A Championship side, leaving the club on 17 August without having made an first team appearance. After several months out of league football, Robbie signed for a second spell at Drogheda United in June 2011. He made 6 league appearances and left the club at the end of the season.

Robbie next surfaced in January 2013 when he signed for Roddy Collins at Athlone Town and was part of the club's First Division title winning squad that year. He made his debut for Athlone in an EA Cup defeat to Longford Town on 11 March 2013 and went on to make 21 league appearances that year.
