Killian’s Biography
Killian began his career as a teenager at Peterborough United as in 2002. He returned home to Ireland to sign for John Gill's Dublin City in 2004. He went on to make 16 league appearances for the Vikings before later being released by new manager Roddy Collins in August 2004.
Killian was immediately picked up by Stephen Kenny and signed for Derry City in August of 2004, making the left-wing position at the Brandywell his own and becoming a key player in the Derry side. He took part in the club's Uefa Cup run in 2006 and helped Derry to the FAI Cup and League Cup double in the same year. Killian won a second League Cup in 2007.
In November 2007 Killian moved to Bohemians on a free transfer. In the following four and a half years he made 122 league appearances for Bohs, scoring 29 league goals. He also picked up League title medals in 2008 and 2009, along with an FAI Cup winners medal in '08 and a third League Cup medal in '09.
In January 2012 Killian signed for Stephen Kenny who had just taken over as manager of Shamrock Rovers, but it was to prove a disappointing season and he made just 15 starts from 22 league appearances, scoring only once. At the end of the 2012 season Killian signed for Liam Buckley at St Patrick's Athletic where he scored eight times in 28 league appearances as Pats won the 2013 League title.
Killian was still with St Pats for the 2014 season and made a further twenty-four appearances for the club, scoring once in a 1-0 win over Shamrock Rovers, as the Saints finished third in the league. He also picked up another FAI Cup Winners medal after St Pats beat Derry City in the final. He went on to add another twenty-five league appearances in the 2015 season, scoring another four goals, as St Pats finished fourth in the Premier Division. He also won the EA Sports Cup as St Pats defeated Galway United on penalties in the final.
In December 2015, Killian returned to Shamrock Rovers, making 19 league appearances for the Hoops during their 2016 Premier Division campaign. Then in October 2016 Killiant left the club by mutual consent with a year still to go on his contract. In January 2017 Killian signed for Pete Mahon at Drogheda United. Killian struggled with injuries for much of the first half of the season and eventually left the club in June 2017.
In July, Killian then signed back with St Pats for the remainder of the 2017 season. Killian went onto make 13 appearances and score one goal in the second half of the 2017 campaign. He then re-signed with Pats ahead of the 2018 season.
