Dessie’s Biography
Dessie is a defender who started his career with English side Stockport County in 1998. He returned to Ireland for the 1999/00 season and made 30 league appearances for St Patrick's Athletic, tempting London side Wimbledon to sign him ahead of the 2000/01 season.
Dessie never settled at Wimbledon and he made just 1 league appearance before leaving the club in 2002 to join Carlisle United. He made 21 league appearances for the Cumbrians but returned to Ireland for a second spell at St Patrick's Athletic in 2003. In December 2004 Dessie signed a three year deal at Bohemians where he made 62 league appearances before being released at the end of the 2007 season.
Dessie signed on for his third stint at St Pats in 2008 and went on to make 22 league appearances before leaving the club at the end of the 2008 season.
