Glen Crowe began his footballing career with schoolboy clubs Saint Mochta's and Lourdes Celtic. He signed his first professional contract with Wolverhampton Wanderers in 1995. During his time at wolves he had loan spells at Cardiff City, Exeter City and Plymouth Argyle.

Crowe then signed for Roddy Collins' Bohemians in pre-season 1999. In his second season with Bohs (2000/01) he broke the Eircom League goal-scoring record scoring 25 goals as Bohemians won the double. He also became the first LOI player to be capped for Ireland in 16 years when he played in a friendly against Greece in November 2002.

Crowe left Bohemians in 2003 following a controversial move to rivals Shelbourne. He won his third league winning medal in November 2006, scoring the goal to clinch Shels' third title in four seasons. He re-joined Bohemians in 2007 and became their all time top goal-scorer on April 4 2008, breaking Turlough O'Connor's record when he scored in a 1-0 win over Shamrock Rovers. He won two more league titles at Bohs, in 2008 and 2009, but at the start of 2010 he signed for Liam Buckley at Sporting Fingal where he played his final season of league football.

Withe demise of Sporting in February 2011 Glen joined Leinster Senior League side Malahide United and went on to play for his boyhood club St Mochtas in 2013/14, helping the side to qualify for the 2014 FAI Cup.
