Darren’s Biography

Darren played Youths football at St Joseph's Boys and Cherry Orchard before signing for UCD on a scholarship in August of 2006. His league debut came the following year against Longford Town.

In July 2008 Darren signed for Shelbourne and made his debut for the Reds on August 1st, scoring twice in a 3-3 draw with Athlone Town at Tolka Park. In all, Darren scored five times in 11 appearances during 2008.

Released by Shelbourne shortly before the start of the 2009 season, Darren signed for Bray Wanderers in time to make his debut for the club against Shamrock Rovers on the opening day of the season. However, he made just ten league and cup appearances for Bray before moving to Gateshead in England in July 2009.

Limited opportunities at the non-league club led to a loan period at Dunston UTS before he returned to Ireland to sign for a second spell at Shelbourne in February 2010. Darren made 8 league and cup appearances for Shels, scoring three times, before being released in August 2010.

In August 2010 Darren signed for LSL side Arklow Town.

Darren played for Crumlin United in their 2011/12 season, scoring the winning goal in their FAI Cup first round win over Killbarrack United in March 2012.
