Jason’s Biography

Jason played youths football with Tolka Rovers and Sheriff YC before joining Bohemians where he made his senior debut in a 2-0 win over UCD on 16 August 2002. Shortly after his debut, Jason won his first Irish U21 Cap, against Finland, and over the next two seasons he made 11 appearances for Bohs, scoring twice.

At the start of 2004 he joined Dublin rivals Shamrock Rovers and and made 48 league appearances for the Hoops over the following two years, scoring six times. Following Rovers' relegation in 2005, Jason returned to Dalymount Park for the 2006 season and went on to win two League titles over the next five years, also picking up an FAI Cup winners medal in 2008, and a League Cup winners medal in 2009.

Jason left Bohs at the end of 2010 having made 73 league appearances in his second spell at Dalymount Park and in January 2011 he signed for Paul Cook at Sligo Rovers. He made 42 league and cup appearances in his first year at the Showgrounds and scored three goals in the club's FAI Cup campaign that saw them lift the trophy at the Aviva Stadium having beaten Shelbourne in the final after a penalty shootout. The following year Jason was part of Sligo's league title winning side as new manager Ian Baraclough led them to their first league crown since 1977.

Shortly after the end of the 2012 season Jason signed for new Shamrock Rovers boss Trevor Croly and he made his debut for the Hoops in a Setanta Cup game against Coleraine on 11 February 2013. He made 15 league appearances in his first season at Tallaght and played in both the Setanta Sports and EA Cup finals, both of which Rovers won against Drogheda United. Jason's second season ended with him being more involved, playing in thirty league games for Rovers, scoring twice, as they finished fourth in the table. However, in November 2014, Jason signed for St. Patrick's Athletic for the 2015 season.

Jason made his debut for St Pats in a 7-0 Leinster Senior Cup win over Tolka Rovers on 9 February 2015. The defender went on to make twelve league appearances for the Saints as they finished fourth in the 2015 Premier Division table.

During the mid-season break in 2016 it was announced that Jason and Pats had cancelled his contract with the club after making just seven league appearances in the first half of the season. Jason then signed for Cliftonville later that day.
