Stephen’s Biography

Stephen played under-age football with Cork City and played a part in their 2008 pre-season before signing for Cobh Ramblers prior to the start of the 2008 season proper. He made his debut for Cobh in a League Cup defeat away to Wexford Youths on 25 March and, shortly afterwards, made his league debut in a 3-1 defeat away to Sligo Rovers on 5 April '08. He went on to make 5 league appearances for Ramblers that season.

Stephen returned to Cork City in 2009 and made 6 league appearances during the latter stages of the season. When the club folded early in 2010 Stephen signed for the club entered by City fans into the First Division under the name Cork City Foras Co-op.

He made 26 league appearances for 'Foras' who bought the name and history of Cork City in June of that year, and in 2011 Stephen made a further 8 league appearances as City won the First Division title.

In July 2012 Stephen went out on loan to Waterford United. He made his Blues debut in a 3-0 win over SD Galway on 13 July and he made 8 league appearances as well as appearing in both play-off games against Longford Town, though injury kept him out of the deciding tie against Dundalk. Stephen left Cork City on his return from Waterford and joined Munster Senior League side Midleton in January 2013.
