Dean’s Biography

Bennett, once on the books of Aston Villa, began his senior career with West Bromwich Albion, making his debut during 1996/97. He later signed for Bromsgrove Rovers before joining Kidderminster for a record £30,000 where he enjoyed a successful five-year stint between 1999 and 2004, the midfielder capturing the Conference National in his first season.

Dean then signed for Wrexham and was part of the side that won the Football League Trophy against Southend United at the Millennium Stadium. But his time at the Racecourse Ground was dogged by injury. That continued at Chester City but after one season there he returned to Kidderminster in August 2007, initially on loan before making the deal permanent at the end of the season. Dean stayed at Kidderminster until May 2010.

Three months later Bennett made the move to Dundalk where he rejoined forces with former teammates Ian Foster and Wayne Hatswell, making his debut at home to UCD, on 6 August. He went on to make 13 league appearances in 2010.

In 2011, Bennett left Dundalk and signed for Solihull Moors.
