Gavin ’s Biography

Gavin started his career at Crumlin United and signed for Nottingham Forest in February 2008. By the start of the 2009/10 season Gavin had returned to Crumlin and played with their Leinster Senior League side.

Gavin played with Crumlin United in the 2009 FAI Cup as the LSL side beat Shelbourne after a replay before losing out to Waterford United in the fourth round. In 2010 Gavin again met league opposition in the FAI Cup as Crumlin lost 3-0 to Finn Harps in the third round.

Gavin signed for Tommy Dunne's Cork City Foras Co-op side during the mid-season break in 2010, making 16 league appearances by the end of the season, scoring twice. The following year the club regained the name Cork City and Gavin made 25 league appearances as the Rebels claimed the First Division title. On City's return to the top flight in 2012 Gavin made another 19 league appearances but he left the club at the end of the season and signed for Waterford United in January 2013. He made 26 league appearances in his first season with the Blues and added 10 more league appearances in 2014 before leaving the club at the end of June to return to Turner's Cross under new City boss John Caulfield.

Gavin's second spell with Cork City began on 11 July 2014 when he started against Drogheda United at United Park but that would be his only league appearance for the Rebels that year as City finished second in the table to Champions Dundalk. Gavin left Cork City at the end of the 2014 season and moved on to MSL side Cobh Wanderers in 2015, playing in their FAI Cup squad that year.

In December 2015, Gavin moved to Crumlin United.
