Craig’s Biography

Craig began his career at Scottish Premier League side Heart of Midlothian, working his way through the underage sides and into the senior ranks. He made 2 league appearances in the 2005/05 season but suffered a back injury that kept him out of the side in 2005/06.

He spent 2006/07 on loan at Partick Thistle and made 17 league appearances for them before injury struck again, keeping him out of the side for five months. 2007/08 saw Craig out on loan again, this time at Dundee FC and, once again, he suffered from injuries that prevented him from making any first team appearances.

He then spent the first half of the 2008/09 season on loan at Queen of the South where he played through injury to make 10 league appearances. He returned to Hearts in December and was released by the club in January 2009.

In March 2009 Michael O'Neill brought him to Shamrock Rovers where he played as an unpaid squad member while undergoing a rehabilitation programme with the club's medical staff.

He made his debut for Rovers in an FAI Cup game against Drogheda United on 13 June 2009 and went on to make 45 league appearances in the league title winning seasons of 2010 and 2011. In 2012 Craig made another 24 league appearances in what was a disappointing year for the Hoops and he left the club at the end of the year to emigrate to Australia.
