Martin Conneely

Martin, the younger brother of Seamus, played with Mervue United in their debut league season of 2009, making two appearances. In 2010 he became a more regular member of Mervue's First Division side and made a total of 17 league appearances. Martin further cemented his place in Mervue's back-line in 2011, appearing in 29 of the clubs 33 league games. He made another 30 league appearances over 2012 and 2013, at which point Mervue ceded their league place to the new entity that became Galway FC who entered the First Division in 2014.

Martin signed for Galway FC on Friday 13 December 2013 and made nineteen league appearances for the club during 2014, scoring three goals, as Galway were promoted to the Premier Division after winning the play-offs.
