Matthew’s Biography
Matt is from Riverstick in Cork and played underage football with College Corinthians. He also represented Cork in the Kennedy Cup where he was scouted by Ipswich Town. Matt joined the academy at Ipswich in the Summer of 2018 where he played with the U18 and U23 teams.
In February 2022 Matt signed on a six-month loan deal with Cork City but in May this was extended until the end of the 2022 season. He made his City debut in the 6-0 defeat of Bray Wanderers at the Carlisle Grounds on the opening night of the season, and scored his first goal for the club against Waterford at the RSC in mid April.
