Kevin’s Biography

Kevin played underage football with Stella Maris before starting his League of Ireland career at Bohemians in 1981. He spent two seasons with the Gypsies before moving to city rivals Shamrock Rovers in 1983. He spent five seasons at Milltown winning four League titles and three FAI Cups.

When he left Rovers in 1988 he signed for his former Shamrock Rovers boss, Jim McLaughlin, at Derry City in where he won the League, FAI Cup and League Cup treble in 1988/89.

He signed for Shelbourne in 1991 and won his sixth League title in his first season with them, also winning the FAI Cup the following season when they defeated Dundalk at Lansdowne Road. After almost three years with the Reds Kevin moved north of the border to join Ards in March of 1994, before returning to his first club Bohemians in the Summer of 1995.

After two more years at Dalymount Park, Kevin left Bohs to have a brief second spell at Derry, Arriving at the Brandywell in July of 1997. he played in the Champions League qualifiers before signing for Dundalk a few months later. He was with the Lilywhites for two seasons before hanging up his boots in 1999.
