Thomas played with Shamrock Rovers' U17 side in 2018 and in July of that year he also joined up with the club's U19 squad. In December 2020, Rovers announced that Thomas had left the club having made 4 appearances for the first team and a further 12 appearances as well as 4 goals for the B team.
In December 2020, Thomas would then go on to sign for Bohs for the 2021 season.
