Belfast-born winger Mallon signed for Sheffield United in 2017. In 2019 he spent time on loan with Central Coast Mariners in Australia and, on January 10th 2020, he signed for Derry City ahead of the 2020 Premier Division campaign. In July, his loan was extended until the end of the season.
