Zak came through the underage ranks at Cabinteely where he played for their U17 side in 2016 and 2017. In 2018 he was part of Cabinteely's U19 side but was also involved with Pat Devlin's senior side and made his league debut on the opening weekend against Wexford at Stradbrook. In February 2021, Zak re-signed with Cabo.
