Owen’s Biography
Owen played underage football for local Kilkenny side Freebooters FC before joining Waterford United's U17 squad for the short 2015 and 2016 seasons.
In 2016 Owen made his senior league debut for the Blues, away to Shelbourne on 24 June, and scored his first league goal for the club, also against Shelbourne, on 12 August at the RSC. In all, Owen scored twice in 12 league appearances that year and was one of Pat Fenlon's first signings as a rebranded Waterford FC prepared for their 2017 First Division campaign.
Apart from playing for Cork City in a friendly against Fulham in July of 2017, Owen made just two brief substitute appearances for Waterford that year and in January 2018 he signed for Damien Locke at near neighbours Wexford FC. In June 2018, Owen left Wexford.
