Jason is a left-sided midfielder who played underage football for Castlebar Celtic before being signed by Owen Heary at Sligo Rovers in January 2015. Jason played with Sligo's U19 side and was part of Heary's pre-season squad in the build up to Sligo's 2016 Premier Division campaign but he didn't make a senior appearance that year Similarly, under new boss Dave Robertson, Jason didn't make a senior appearance in 2016.
Jason represented the Mayo League in their 2017 EA Cup campaign.
