Gareth’s Biography
Gareth played underage football with Stella Maris and spent some time in Scotland with Hibernians. He joined up with Shamrock Rovers during their 2015 pre-season programme. He impressed enough to sign for the club in February 2015. He went on to make fifteen league appearances for the club, scoring once in a 1-1 draw with Bohemians, as Shamrock Rovers finished third in the Premier Division.
Gareth stayed with Shamrock Rovers for the 2016 Premier Division season and went on to add a further 5 league appearances to his name before moving on loan to First Division side Drogheda United after playing in a friendly against MK Dons in July 2016. His first league game for Drogheda came in a 2-0 win away to Shelbourne on 22 July and he ended the season with four goals from 8 league appearances, prompting a permanent move to United Park ahead of the 2017 season.
Gareth's time United Park lasted only until May 2017 when he left the club by mutual consent. He signed for Cabinteely for the remainder of the 2017 season before returning to United Park for another season with Drogheda United in 2018.
