Colm played underage football with Castleisland AFC in Kerry and joined Limerick's U19 squad in the summer of 2013. He first appeared for Stuart Taylor's senior team as an unused sub in Limerick's Airtricity League defeat to UCD in August of 2013 and made his league debut five weeks later, coming on for the last three minutes of Limerick's 2-0 win over Shamrock Rovers at Thomond Park on 24 September 2013. Colm made 3 league appearances in his debut season.

Colm stayed with the u19 squad for the 2013/14 season and was also a part of the 2014 senior squad, making 2 substitute appearances for them whilst also appearing on the bench many times. He didn't make a senior appearance in 2015, a season which saw Limerick relegated to the First Division, but made a further 6 league appearances in 2016 when the club comfortably won the First Division title.
