Matthew’s Biography
Matthew was part of Portsmouth FC's academy up until U18 level before he signed with Stoke City in July 2012. One year later, on 2 August 2013, he signed for Ian Baraclough at Sligo Rovers and appeared on the Sligo bench as an unused sub three times in the latter months of the 2013 league season.
In January 2014 Matthew played for Cork City during their pre-season programme of friendlies. and he duly became part of John Caulfield's squad as goalkeeping cover for first choice Mark McNulty. However, Matt didn't make a senior appearance for the club and left to join Boston United at the end of July 2014.
Matt returned to Ireland to join Midleton ahead of the 2015/16 Munster Senior League season and was a part of the squad for Midleton in their FAI Cup game against Shamrock Rovers in May 2016.
