Danny is a winger who started his career in the underage system at Heart of Midlothian before moving to the Academy at Manchester United in 2006. He spent three years at Old Trafford before joining Hibernians in 2009 where he made 52 league appearances in his four years with the club. He was released in January 2013 due to injury problems and on 18 February he signed for Limerick FC.

Danny made his Limerick debut against Cork City on the opening weekend of the 2013 season and went on to make 27 league appearances for the Blues as they finished 7th in the Premier Division. Unfortunately for Danny injury disrupted his season in 2014 but he returned to action in May and made 8 league appearances, scoring two goals, before leaving Limerick when his contract expired in June 2014.
